Aquatic – Freshwater Species Working Group

Nigeria’s rivers, lakes, and wetlands are home to a rich diversity of freshwater species that provide vital ecosystem services and support local livelihoods. This working group is dedicated to assessing the status of freshwater biodiversity, addressing threats such as overfishing and pollution, and promoting sustainable management of aquatic resources.
